has leveraged another four local dollars in additional façade improvements
which total $345,000 invested in building renovations and rehabilitation. Another $26,000 in façade funds has been allocated to additional
properties in downtown and several more property owners are in the process
of applying for façade grant funds.

RENAISSANCE
Kentucky (RENKY)
and Federal Transportaion Aid (TEA21) grants for the City.
The Murray Main Street office serves as the primary
contact between the Renaissance Alliance and the City of Murray.
Our partnership with the City of Murray ensures community involvement on
all projects and keeps attention focused on downtown revitalization and
development. All money is competitive. Communities must have a
local Main Street program and use the Main Street four point approach to
be eligible for funding. Murray is currently a Silver Renaissance
community. We applied for Gold status in the fall of 2003.
